Privacy Policy
At Zipero, privacy is not a feature—it is our foundation. We use edge-computing to ensure your most sensitive data never even reaches our servers.
Site Publisher
Zipero is published by a sole trader (entrepreneur individuel) registered with the French National Business Register (RNE) under SIRET 520 908 294 00025 (SIREN 520 908 294), APE code 62.01Z — Computer programming. Contact: contact@zipero.fr.
1. Data Processing Architecture
We distinguish between two processing paths: (A) Local Processing: Files are handled directly in your browser using WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device. (B) Cloud Processing: For heavy tasks (Video/OCR), files are uploaded via encrypted channels, processed, and permanently deleted within 24 hours.
2. Your GDPR Rights
As a user, you have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data. You may also object to processing or request data portability. All requests can be managed through your dashboard or by contacting support.
3. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication (Clerk) and security. With your consent, we also use third-party cookies (Google AdSense) to serve personalized advertisements that support our free tier.
4. Security Measures
We implement industry-standard AES-256 encryption for data at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. Our infrastructure is regularly audited to protect against the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
5. Contact Information
For any legal inquiries or support requests, please contact our team at contact@zipero.fr. We aim to respond within 48 business hours.
6. Third-Party Services
Zipero integrates several third-party services to deliver its functionality. Clerk handles user authentication and stores only the data necessary to maintain your account (email address and session tokens). Stripe processes all payment transactions securely — we never see or store your card details. Google AdSense (with your consent) serves advertisements on free-tier pages. Zipero collects anonymised technical error reports in its own internal logging system to diagnose and fix issues faster — no personal data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose. Each third party operates under its own privacy policy and data processing agreement.
7. Data Retention
Local-tool processing generates no data on our servers because your files never leave your device. Cloud-processed files (video, audio, OCR) are automatically and permanently deleted within 24 hours of processing completion. You may also trigger immediate deletion from the tool interface at any time. Account data (email address, subscription status) is retained for as long as your account remains active. Upon account deletion, all associated personal data is purged within 30 days in accordance with GDPR Article 17.
8. Children's Privacy
Zipero is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@zipero.fr and we will delete that information promptly. Users between 13 and 18 should use Zipero with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify registered users by email. Your continued use of Zipero after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
