Got a document scanned upside down or sideways? Upload your PDF to Zipero, pick the rotation angle — 90°, 180° or 270° — and download the result. The rotation applies to every page in the document.
Perfect for documents scanned from a copier, photos of pages taken with a phone, or any PDF whose orientation doesn't match your screen or printer.
Your documents are processed right in your browser. They're never sent over the internet or stored on our servers.
Every page in a PDF has an optional `/Rotate` attribute in its object dictionary, expressed in degrees (0, 90, 180, or 270, clockwise). This attribute tells PDF viewers how to display the page on screen or in print, without ever touching the page's actual content stream.
Rotating a PDF therefore doesn't rewrite text, images, or vector coordinates — it simply updates this angle value. It's a near-instant operation even on documents with hundreds of pages, since no content needs to be decoded, transformed, and re-encoded.
Zipero uses pdf-lib to read each page's current rotation angle, add the chosen angle modulo 360°, and write back the resulting `/Rotate` attribute. The result is a PDF whose display orientation has changed with no loss of quality or information.
Does the rotation apply to every page, or can I choose specific ones?
The current tool applies the chosen rotation to every page of the document in a single operation. If you need different orientations for different pages, extract the relevant pages first with Zipero's Extract PDF Pages tool, rotate each group separately, then merge the result back together.
Does rotating degrade the quality of the PDF's content?
No. Zipero only changes each page's orientation metadata (the rotation angle stored in the PDF) without re-encoding or altering the content — text, images, and fonts remain pixel-for-pixel identical.
Can I undo a rotation or go back to the original orientation?
Yes — simply apply another rotation that completes the previous one up to 360° (for example, rotating by 270° again after a 90° rotation brings the document back to its original orientation).
