How Zipero's PDF signing works
All three creation modes (drawing, typed text, uploaded image) produce a PNG image, drawn on a canvas directly in your browser.
The chosen position and size are converted to PDF coordinates via pdf-lib, which embeds the PNG image on each checked page, at the right spot and scale.
The signed PDF is generated entirely locally and then offered for download, without ever passing through a server.
Frequently asked questions about signing a PDF
Is this a certified electronic signature under the eIDAS regulation?
No. Zipero places a visual signature image on the pages you choose in the PDF. This is not a certified, qualified, or timestamped electronic signature under the eIDAS regulation, and it does not carry the same legal weight as a qualified electronic signature. For uses that require stronger legal validity, use a certified electronic signature provider.
Can I apply my signature to several pages at once?
Yes. Check every relevant page in the thumbnail grid before clicking Apply & download: the same signature, at the same relative position, will be placed on each of them.
Can I resize or reposition my signature before applying it?
Yes. Once your signature is created, drag it to the spot you want on the page preview and use the handle in the bottom-right corner to resize it while keeping its proportions.
